One week from today, on October 1, Amtrak will slash service and cut 2,000 careers if Congress does not come through with additional funding. This is a slap in the face to all the essential workers who have been serving the public throughout this pandemic - sacrificing their health and time with their families and loved ones. 

Tell Congress to fund Amtrak NOW to prevent these devastating cuts. 

Amtrak is using the pandemic to reduce or suspend service on many of the routes across the country with the intention of making them permanent. This is part of the current business model for the future of Amtrak.

It is time to act! It is time to ensure that our national network of long-distance trains continues to function at current frequency.
