The WFTU General Secretary George Mavrikos is visiting Mexico City. His visit started yesterday on April 26th 2017 when he met with the Mayor of Mexico City Miguel Angel Mancera, during this meeting the WFTU General Secretary was declared Honorary Citizen of Mexico City. The WFTU General Secretary is accompanied by Alberto Reyes, Deputy General Secretary of WFTU and Ramon Cardona, Head of the Latin America & the Caribbean Regional Office.
Today, April 27th 2017, his program started with the meeting of WFTU affiliates and friends in Mexico and later he will address a gathering of 3000 trade-union cadres.
