Central banks mark new protest against pension reform


Trade unionists say the government's campaign is "misleading." According to the mayor, voting cannot go beyond February



Central unions will hold a national day of struggle on February 19, in a new stage of mobilization against the Temer government's proposal to "reform" Social Security. Leaders of various entities gathered on Wednesday (31), at the Força Sindical headquarters in São Paulo, to define the next activities.


The legislative year begins next Friday (2), with a solemn opening session scheduled for Monday (5). The main theme in this retake is the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) 287, which deals with Social Security. Trade unionists criticize what they call the government's "misleading campaign" on the issue. "The union centrals are calling for their work to strengthen communication and clarification on the serious impacts of 'reform' on workers' lives," said CSB, CTB, CUT, Força, Inter-Union, Nova Central and UGT.
